Preparation and Characterization of Eu3+:Y2O3-Al2O3-SiO2 Glass

摘要: 采用高温熔融法制备了Eu3+掺杂Y2O3-Al2O3-SiO2荧光玻璃,探讨了成分对该体系玻璃形成能力的影响,并对不同Eu3+掺杂浓度下的荧光性能进行了研究.结果表明,熔融温度为1500℃条件下,SiO2含量对该体系的玻璃形成能力影响明显,Y/Al摩尔比为3/5时,SiO2含量在52%-68%(摩尔分数)范围内时可以获得玻璃.掺杂Eu3+的Y2O3-Al2O3-SiO2玻璃具有荧光性能,在395nm波长激发下,在588 nm和614 nm处出现明显的发射峰.随着Eu3+掺杂浓度的增加,该荧光玻璃的发射波长不变,但发射强度有所变化;当Eu3+掺杂浓度为1.5%(摩尔分数)时,特征发射峰强度最大.

Abstract: Eu-doped Y2O3-Al2O3-SiO2 fluorescent glasses were prepared by conventional melting method.The effect of starting compositions on the glass-forming ability and the fluorescent properties of the glasses were studied.It was found that,the content of SiO2 affected the glass-forming ability significantly,and for a melting temperature of 1500 ℃ and a fixed Y/Al molar ratio of 3/5,pure glass could be obtained with a SiO2 content of 52-68%(mol).Under an excitation at 395 nm,the glasses showed two strong emission peaks at 588 nm and 614 nm,respectively.The intensities of the emission peaks varied with the concentrations of Eu3+,and reached the maximum with a Eu3+ concentration of 1.5%(mol).
