Abstract: In this paper, the relationship between the concentration of photosensitizing dye, initiator, chaintransfer agent, monomer, property of the binder polymers and the photosensitivity of holographic recording films are discussed. In a certain range, the rate of polymerization was increased with increasing the content of initiator, while optimized concentration of chaintransfer agent was found.Adding properly value of liquid monomer and the number of polymerized functional groups, the rate of polymerization was greatly increased. The monomers polymerized more rapidly in the polyvinyl acetate than in cellulose acetate film.High SNR holograms were obtained with this photopolymer by angularly multiplexing method. Thus, this photopolymer was suggested to be used in high density volume holographic recording.
