Abstract:

In this paper, a novel platinum(Ⅱ) complex that is soluble both in water and in organic solvent was synthesized, and a visible-light-induced cross-dehydrogenative-coupling (CDC) reaction is studied by using the platinum(Ⅱ) complex as photocatalyst. With the aid of molecular oxygen as an oxidant, the oxidative coupling of nitroalkanes and N-phenyltetrahydroisoquinolines is achieved under irradiation with high efficiency both in water and in organic solvent. This provides a clean and facile synthetic scheme for visible-light-induced oxidative CDC reaction.
