Abstract:

Vascular reconstruction in neurosurgery navigation software is an important component. There exist two problems of brain blood vessel visualization, eliminating skull results in impurity tissue’s existence and blood vessels’ intermittence; regeneration based on segmentation results in blood vessels’ surface "distorting facts" or "connection ladder". This paper takes the threshold level set segmentation which is not sensitive to the complex shape of target, and combines with the ROI to speed up, then uses the Marching Cube algorithm combined with a modified two-dimensional distance field to reconstruct the surface. The experimental shows that the method can greatly eliminate "connection ladder", avoid impurity tissue’s existence and blood vessels’ intermittence. Moreover, this method can extract multiple vessels at the same time without consideration of brain blood vessels’ complex topology structure, the reconstruction can provide reference for the doctor to diagnose.
