Abstract: The development process of static stereoscopic images acquisition from stereo camera shooting reveals the evolution process of stereoscopic photography from silver salt technology to digital technology, from auxiliary stereo display to autostereoscopic display. With the progress of image information processing technology, the planar image transmutation to multi-view stereo image by using the depth transform principle of a single image and the interpolated frame technology using the two-view stereo image to generate an intermediate virtual viewpoint are also widely used. This paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of obtaining multi-view static stereo images by camera shooting and virtual viewpoints generated by the frame interpolation technology. In the application field of high quality and high resolution autostereoscopic display, camera shooting has more advantages in obtaining static stereo images. In order to reduce the cost of shooting system, the planar image transmutation to stereo image and virtual viewpoint generation technology have advantages. A camera array shooting system device which can adjust the spacing rapidly is described at last.
