Abstract: A101/sepiolite catalyst was manufactured by directly mixing TiO2(A101) with sepiolite. The photocatalytic degradation of DEP(diethyl phthalate) in water was studied with sepiolite supported nanoscale TiO2 as catalyst. The results of experiments showed that the rate of photocatalytic degradation was affected by the amount of catalyst and the load of TiO2.For A101/sepiolite catalyst, the load of TiO2 has great effect on its photocatalytic activity and the rate of DEP's degradation, the carrier catalyst of 5% nanoTiO2 amounts showed the best photocatalytic activity. The morphography and crystal form of the supported catalyst was analyzed by x-ray diffraction(XRD) and scanning electronic microscope(SEM).
