Abstract: Transition metal oxide doped TiO2 photocatalysts MOx/TiO2 (M=Cr,Mn,Fe,Co,Ni,Cu) were prepared with impregnation method. The photocatalytic activity was investigated with acetic acid as a photocatalytic degradation modal reactant. The results show that the photocatalytic activity of TiO2 was improved after being doped by transition metal oxide and there exists an optimal supported value at which the degree of improved photocatalytic activity depends on formation enthalpy of corresponding oxide. Volcano profile relationship was found between the photocatalytic activity and the ratio of electronic affinity to ionic radius of transition metal ion.
