Abstract: GdAlO3:RE powder was prepared by nitric-citric process. Luminescent intensity of GdAlO3:Eu decreased when it was co-doped with Pr, and GdAlO3:Tb co-doped with Ce showed the same phenomenon. The results from excitation spectra indicated that there are the resonant energy transfer between Eu and Pr, Tb and Ce, by the absorption and emission of lower energy phonon. The resonant energy transfer between different RE species is one of main reasons why luminesent intensity decreasing.
