Abstract: Adsorption of 4-hydroxy-6-methyl-1,3,3a,7-teraazaindene(TAI)on a silver surface was investigated by surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy(SERS).In the present system,TAI molecule is chemisorbed on the surface of silver electrode. The N atom of TAI plays the principal role of adsorption on the silver electrode. It is concluded that TAI molecule is adsorbed on the silver electrode by edged-on mode.Although the number of ORC does not affect the frequencies of vibration,it obviously affects the intensities of SERS.
