Abstract: The chemical titration is usually used for precise quantitative analysis of silver halide emulsion composition. Other equipment analyses, as X-ray energy disperse spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, X-ray fluorescence and so on, can be applied only for semiquantitative or qualitative analyses. Furthermore, because of the similarity of chemical properties of halogen, one has to apply the method of subtraction to obtain the final results of element composition separately. In present paper the method of neutron activation analysis(NAA) was used for simultaneous determining multielements in silver halide emulsion. Moreover, there is no need for the sample pretreatment to remove gelatin in NAA. The obtained analysis date, compared with that by chemical titration are very close with each other. It shows that the NAA is a trusty method for the determination of element composition of silver halide emulsion.
