GE Lei, WEN Yongfu, CHENG Haobo
    IMAGING SCIENCE AND PHOTOCHEMISTRY    2021, 39 (6): 790-797.   DOI: 10.7517/issn.1674-0475.210801
    Abstract373)   HTML166)    PDF (1625KB)(119)       Save
Digital holographic microscopy (DHM) is a commonly used technique to obtain quantitative information by measuring the phase shifts in light and changes in the refractive index of the sample. In view of the small measurement depth of the single-wavelength holographic microscopic imaging system and the phase ambiguity of the phase unwrapping algorithm, a reflective mode dual-wavelength digital holographic microscopy utilizing dichroic mirror for quantitative phase imaging of 3D structures with extended thickness range is presented, which is based on dual-wavelength off-axis interference technology. This is done by simultaneous acquisition of two off-axis interferograms, each at a different wavelength, and generation of a synthetic wavelength, allowing for an extension of the measurement range. This method is explored by numerical simulation, and then a dual-wavelength digital holographic experimental setup is constructed for imaging the polishing spots obtained by magnetorheological polishing technology and USAF target. In conclusion, the effectiveness and feasibility of the system are preliminarily verified.

In this paper, anhydrous citric acid and N-( β-aminoethyl- γ-aminopropyl) methyldimethoxysilane were used to prepare carbon quantum dots by hydrothermal method. The carbon quantum dot emits blue light, and the excitation wavelength and emission wavelength were 370 nm and 466 nm, respectively. Due to the heavy atom effect of iodine and the ability of iodine ions to easily donate electrons, fluorescence quenching occurs when carbon quantum dots encounter iodide ions in an aqueous solution. By measuring the fluorescence lifetime, it was found that there was a dynamic quenching effect between carbon quantum dots and iodide ions. Using this feature, a fluorescent probe for selective detection of iodide ions in aqueous solution was established. Optimize the influence of the dispersion solvent on the fluorescence intensity of carbon quantum dots, and the influence of response time and pH on the quenching efficiency. Under the optimal experimental conditions:the fluorescence change value ( F 0- F) with the logarithm of iodide ion concentration was linear, the linear equation was Y=427.60 X+646.88, R 2=0.9945, and the linear range was 5×10 -7-5×10 -4 mol/L, the detection limit was 3.2×10 -8 mol/L. The recovery range was 101%-105% when three concentrations spiked were used to test the water samples.

In this paper, the application effect of large-pitch scanning combined with energy spectrum CT double-low subtraction in the process of carotid CT angiography (CTA) were explored, as well as the influence on the radiation dose and the dose of contrast agent. We chose 86 cases of cerebral insufficiency caused by carotid artery disease, and all patients underwent carotid CTA. Among them, 43 cases underwent conventional scanning mode as the control group, and the other 43 cases underwent large-pitch scanning combined with energy spectrum CT double low subtraction method as the study group. The results showed that the CT values of each segment of the carotid artery CTA in the study group were higher than those in the control group ( P<0.05). The signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR) of the common carotid artery and internal carotid artery in the study group were higher than those in the control group ( P<0.05). The average score of image quality in the study group was higher than that of the control group ( P<0.05). The difference of suprasellar cortex in the study group was lower than that of the control group, 375 and the score of bone removal effect was higher than that of the control group ( P<0.05). The dose length product (DLP) of the study group were less than those of the control group ( P<0.05), as well as CT dose index (CTDlvol), effective dose (ED) and iodine intake. It can be seen that the application of large-pitch scanning and energy spectrum CT double-low subtraction for carotid CTA can significantly improve the inspection effect and the image quality, and reduce the radiation dose and the amount of contrast agent.

    IMAGING SCIENCE AND PHOTOCHEMISTRY    2022, 40 (2): 203-210.   DOI: 10.7517/issn.1674-0475.210901
    Abstract307)   HTML13)    PDF (3428KB)(90)       Save
The presence of oxygen inhibition effect in radical photopolymerization leads to incomplete curing in the surfaces and affects the final performance of cured material. In this work, the insensitivity of thiol-acrylate system to oxygen was introduced into the upconversion particles assisted near-infrared photopolymerization (UCAP) to overcome the oxygen inhibition effect of acrylate system. The effects of the UCPs concentration, the structure and content of thiol monomers on the oxygen inhibition degree were systematically studied by combining thiols with (meth)acrylate monomers. The ATR-FTIR were used to characterize the polymerization kinetics of monocomponent (meth)acrylate and thiol-acrylate systems in UCAP. The double bond conversion at different depths of the cured material was characterized by Confocal Raman Microscopy. The results show that in the mixed system of secondary mercaptan PE-1 and acrylate monomer EM2261 with 2.0wt% UCPs and 50% -SH molarity, the maximum double bond conversion of 82% was obtained on the surface and over 90% in the deep layer, the oxygen inhibition degree of the surface layer were effectively reduced.

An improved gamma correction image enhancement method is proposed to solve the shortcomings of unclear outline, fuzzy details and excessive noise of some MRI. Firstly, the image is transformed into gradient domain to obtain the gradient field of the image. Then, the image is divided into two different gradient intervals according to the threshold, and the corresponding gamma transform is carried out in different gradient ranges to establish the target gradient field. Finally, the enhanced image is reconstructed according to the transformed target gradient field. In the process of image reconstruction, the enhanced image is obtained by numerically solving the Poisson equation. In order to solve the problem of large amount of computation of traditional algorithms, this paper first divides the image into blocks, and then combines and stitches it. The results show that this algorithm can greatly improve the information entropy and image average difference of the original image. Taking a 512×512 MRI selected in this paper as an example, this algorithm improves the information entropy of the original image from 5.50 to 6.94, and the image average difference from 33.70 to 67.44. Experimental results show that this method can effectively improve the detail and contour information of MRI without improving the image noise.

This study explored the relationship between the transcranial Doppler (TCD) assessment of cerebral ischemia thrombolytic classification (TIBI), TCD blood flow reversal and the prognosis of patients with acute middle cerebral artery (MCA) occlusive stroke. Chosen 144 MCA occlusive stroke patients as the research objects, all patients were treated with intravenous alteplase thrombolysis. According to the prognosis of patients within 90 days of onset, they were divided into a good prognosis group with 98 cases and a poor prognosis group with 46 cases, and compared the cerebral ischemia thrombolysis classification (TIBI) and TCD blood flow reversal before and after thrombolysis between the two groups. Re-examined 24 hours after the operation, the TIBI blood flow classification distribution of the good prognosis group was better than that of the poor prognosis group ( P<0.05). The AUC values of TIBI blood flow improvement and TCD blood flow reversal rate predicted the prognosis of patients with MCA occlusive stroke after thrombolytic therapy were 0.757 and 0.578, respectively. The higher NIHSS scores, diabetes, coronary heart disease, and atrial fibrillation at admission would significantly increase the risk of poor prognosis on admission ( P<0.05). After thrombolysis, TIBI blood flow was improved and TCD blood flow was improved and reversal reduced the risk of poor prognosis in patients ( P<0.05). Through early observation of TIBI blood flow improvement after thrombolytic therapy and TCD blood flow reversal could have a certain clinical value for evaluating the prognosis of patients, and the two can effectively complement each other.

    IMAGING SCIENCE AND PHOTOCHEMISTRY    2021, 39 (3): 348-353.   DOI: 10.7517/issn.1674-0475.210402
    Abstract279)   HTML8)    PDF (2238KB)(113)       Save
Semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes (sc-SWCNTs) have shown obvious advantages in biomedical applications such as biological imaging, photothermal therapy and drug delivery. In particular, they exhibit excellent properties for biological imaging due to their inherent fluorescence and strong optical absorption in the near infrared biological window (0.7-1.4 μm). Sc-SWCNT can be used in not only fluorescently labeling cells in deep imaging in vivo, but also tracking and treating tumor cells, which have attracted widespread attention. The electronic band structure and photoelectric properties of sc-SWCNTs depend on their chirality. The advantages of sc-SWCNTs themselves can be maximized only when using monochiral sc-SWCNTs for biomedical applications. The separation of monochiral sc-SWCNTs and their applications in new optoelectronic devices and bioluminescence imaging have become research hotspots at the forefront of science and technology. In this paper, we will introduce the separation technology of sc-SWCNTs and the research progress of monochiral sc-SWCNTs in the field of biological imaging.

A total of 80 patients with lateral ligament injury of ankle joint were selected as the research object to explore the significance of 3.0T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the evaluation of injury degree and treatment effect. The thickness of the anterior talofibular ligament in the affected side was higher than that in the healthy side ( P<0.05). The thickness of the anterior talofibular ligament in the affected side was positively correlated with the degree of injury ( P<0.05). The degree of injury, course of disease, previous ankle injury, and the thickness of the anterior talofibular ligament at 4, 8 and 12 weeks after treatment were all the influencing factors for the poor curative effect of patients with lateral ankle ligament injury ( P<0.05). The AUC values of talofibular anterior ligament thickness were 0.760, 0.823 and 0.869 at 4, 8 and 12 weeks after treatment, respectively. The AUC value was the highest at 12 weeks after treatment. Therefore, 3.0T MRI can clearly show the pathological changes after lateral ankle ligament injury, accurately evaluate the location and degree of injury, which is conducive to clinical efficacy evaluation, and provide accurate imaging basis for the selection of the best treatment method.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the diagnostic value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound combined with BI-RADS grading in breast cancer. 130 cases of suspected breast cancer patients were selected, the routine ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasound were given to analyze the value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound combined with conventional BI-RADS grading in the diagnosis of breast cancer. Among 130 suspected patients, 47 cases were benign, 83 cases of malignant patients; the experimental results showed that: In the ultrasonic imaging features of malignant lesions, the proportion of centripetal enhancement and enhanced lesions enlargement were significantly higher than those of benign lesions ( P<0.05). The enhancement start time, time to peak and peak intensity of malignant lesions were significantly lower than those of benign lesions ( P<0.05). Compared contrast-enhanced ultrasound and BI-RADS, the sensitivity and negative predictive value and accuracy of combined examination in the diagnosis of breast cancer were higher ( P<0.05). This study confirmed that: Contrast-enhanced ultrasound combined with BI-RADS has good clinical value in diagnosing breast cancer, which is worthy of clinical use.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the value of whole body bone scan (WBS) combined with single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT)/CT fusion in the diagnosis of single bone metastasis in lung cancer limbs. A retrospective study was conducted, 140 cases of lung cancer patients were selected and given WBS, SPECT/CT tomographic fusion examination. The proportion of adenocarcinoma in the bone metastasis group was significantly higher than that in benign bone lesions ( P<0.05). The proportion of bone destruction, density change of bone marrow cavity and bone cortical defect in the bone metastasis group were significantly higher than that in benign bone lesions ( P<0.05). The sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of WBS combined with SPECT/CT in diagnosis of bone metastasis were significantly higher than those of WBS ( P<0.05). WBS combined with SPECT/CT fusion has a good value in the diagnosis of single bone metastasis in extremities of lung cance.

This study investigated the value of dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) in evaluating the blood supply of the femoral head in patients with femoral neck fracture and its relationship with postoperative complications of femoral head necrosis. A retrospective study of 52 patients with femoral neck fractures was selected, and the patients were grouped according to whether they had femoral head necrosis within 12 months after surgery. Among them, 130 cases without femoral head necrosis were classified as non-necrosis group, and 22 cases with femoral head necrosis were classified as necrosis group. All patients underwent DCE-MRI before surgery, 5 days after surgery, and 3 months after surgery. The peak time of the same region of interest (ROI) in the upper outer and inner upper quadrant of the affected side in the necrosis group was higher than that in the non-necrosis group at 5 days and 3 months after operation ( P<0.05). Increased age, preoperative traction, Garden classification type IV, and prolonged peak time of upper outer quadrant or upper inner quadrant 5 days after operation were independent risk factors for postoperative femoral head necrosis in patients with femoral neck fracture ( P<0.05). Postoperative professional rehabilitation was a protective factor for patients with femoral head necrosis ( P<0.05). DCE-MRI has a certain value in evaluating the occurrence of femoral head necrosis after surgery, and it has a guiding significance for early clinical diagnosis and timely intervention measures.
