Nanosized ZnS is found to be an effective chemical sensitizer of silver halide emulsions.The sensitivity and contrast of ZnS- sensitized AgBr emulsion are higher than that of the sodium thiosulfate-sensitized AgBr emulsion without enhancing the fog.

Novel polyfluoroalkoxyl metal phthalocyanates were synthesized,which were soluble in most organic solvents.The photooxygenation and photocleavage to DNA showed that zinc and aluminum phthalocyanates have efficient action to generate singlet oxygen.2a in presence of emulsifying agent F68 displays a good photocytotoxicity in vitro on myeloma cells under the irradiation of red light.

The preparation of polymer/montmorillonite intercalation composite materials has been studied by applying two kinds of photo-polymerization reaction (photo-acid generation and photo radical generation)in this work.Small angle X-ray diffraction technique was used for the structural characterization of montmorillonite contained in the products.Results indicated that after surface modification of montmorillonite the monomer(methyl methacrylate,MMA)and the prepolymer (m cresol/HMMM) were able to intercalate into the layers of the clay and to polymerize/in “situ” to obtain photo-polymerized composite materials.The advantages and the demerits of the method of photo-polymerization for preparation of these composite materials have been discussed preliminaryly.

In CD R optical disc,the recording media film should have nice optical properties in order to depress reading noise and increase the reliability when data are processed.Cyanine dyes are one of the most popular recording media.When the cyanine dye was spin coated in this experiment,it was found that the solvents had great influence on the dye film.The observation on the film surface with AFM indicated that the reflectance was closely related to the roughness of film.Dye films were flat and had high reflectance when cholroform,tetrafluoro propanol or diacetone alcohol were used as the solvent,respectively.When the solvent was methanol,many mirco crystals sized 0.3 μm were found in the dye film,which had great scattering effect on the light and resulted in the decrease of the light reflectance.

] doping on the photographic properties of the iodobromide T-grain emulsion was studied in this paper.It was found that both the doping amount and the position had significant effects on the photographic properties of the emulsion.When the doping amount was between 3.1×10

N-cyclohexylmaleimide (CHMI) and methy1 methacrylate were used as monomers to copolymerize a heat-resistant resin. In order to use this material for heat-resistant plastic optical fibers (POF), the glass transition temperature and the transparence at different temperature of this copolymer were studied. The method for preparing the preformed rod and the refractive index distribution of the preformed rod were discussed, and the attenuation loss of POF were also discused.
