The high chloride tabular grain emulsions exhibit a good many of advantages and this kind of emulsion has already become a main branch in the field of the study of silver halide emulsions.The present paper uses some modified gelatin with low Met. content at different preparation processes of emulsions in order to develop the suitable condition for the growing of the tabular grains with {100} faces.

Photosensitized oxidation of 7 dehydrocholesterol in methanol and dichlormethane by Nafion membrane loaded Platinum(Ⅱ) terpyridyl acetylide (1) was investigated.In comparison with photosensitization in homogeneous solution,Nafion membrane loaded sensitizer can be easily separated from products,unreacted materials,and solvent,and can be reused in many recycles without loss of activity.Although a fraction of generated singlet oxygen is quenched during the course of diffusion from the Nafion membrane to the bulk solution,the overall quantum yield of product formation is still reasonable,and can be further enhanced by using a small amount of deuterium solvent.

The photo-polymerization process of acrylate monomer initiated by benzoin ether has been studied by two kinds of fluorescence probe.It was found that the sensitivity of probe used in photo polymerization is concerned with the spectrum response and the solvato-chromism behavior of probe.But the most important factor of probe in the process of photo polymerization is the property of photo stabilization.A fluorescence probe,which is suitable to use in the photo polymerization of acrylate monomer was recommended.

Alkoxy phthalonitrile is an important intermediate for the synthesis of high branched alkoxy phthalocyanine potentially used in practice.However,the synthesis of the high branched alkoxy phthalonitrile is confirmed experimentally to be the key step,whose by-reaction and lower yield are considered to be the bottleneck of synthesis of whole alkoxy substituted phthalocyanines.In order to clarify the by-reaction’s mechanism and inject new insight to improve this key step,the by product was separated,purified and characterized by IR,MS,

The process of sulfur sensitization of the silver halide emulsion is reviewed from the viewpoints of the formation of the sensitization center and its sensitizing mechanism.At the same time,the progress of the sulfur sensitization theory including the distribution of the sensitization centers,their characteristics,the sensitizing conditions,sensitizing clusters and the new methods of sulfur sensitization are also introduced.
