doped TiO

thin films were prepared by sol-gel method.The obtained films were characterized by XRD,SEM,and CAS methods.It was found that the thermal-induced superhydrophilicity and photo-induced superhydrophilicity were effected by the dopant concentration,the 0.75% Mo doped TiO
2
thin film calcined at 400℃ showed superhydrophilicity even stored in the darkness for 72 h.

Biphenyl sulfoxide was prepared by the oxidation of biphenyl sulfide with hydrogen peroxide at room temperament in yield 98.7%.Then,bis[4-(diphenylsulfonio)phenyl]sulfide bis-hexafluorophosphate was prepared by the reaction of biphenyl sulfoxide with biphenyl sulfide in the presence of acid catalyst in approximately 75% yield.The later product was identified by infrared spectrum,UV spectrum and element analysis.

Nanosize semiconductor particles were synthesized using the solvothermal technique.The structures were characterized by means of XRD and TEM techniques.PANI and PPY films were prepared by electrochemistry method onto the indium-tin oxide glass (ITO).The nanoparticles were doped on PANI and PPY films by the dipping process, and the self-assembled nanoparticles-PANI composite film was acquired.The photoelectric properties of the self-assembled films were studied by PL method.The result concluded that the photoluminescence radiation can be unambiguously enhanced when decorated PANI film with CdS nanoparticles.

Extra branched alkali soluble polyesters were synthesized from 1,2,4-trimellitic anhydride, epichlorohydrin and propylene oxide tert-butyl ether.By using the peripheral carboxyls of synthesized polymer molecules and allyl glycidyl ether reacting together, leading reactive trimethylopropane diallyl enther into the periphery of extra polymer molecules, the effects of the component of resins on sensitivity and alkali solubility were studied.The results show that fairly good alkali solubility and photocuring can be gained through adjusting the proportion of reactants.The contrast γ of resin can attain 3.92.

Single mode perfluoropolymer waveguide structures, fabricated on polymer substrates for athermal operation, exhibit polarization independent, ultra low loss of <0.04) and <0.05 dB/cm at 1310 and 1550 nm, respectively.Porous structure that arises during the fabrication process is studied by considering its implications in the propagation loss.We demonstrate that porous structure is to be reduced to nanoscale, in order to realize waveguides structure with ultralow propagation losses.These waveguide architectures form the basis for a new photonic polymer device technology platform for high performance integrated devices.
