The effect of DAR couplers with different development accelerating group on photographic properties was researched. Comparing the photographic properties of DAR coupler which contained the same coupler moiety and adsorption group, while contained different development accelerating group. It was found that with different substitute group, the development-accelerating group affected the photographic properties of DAR coupler significantly. The photographic properties of DAR coupler, which contained trifluoroacetyl substitute development-accelerating group, was the best. And at the same time had good anti-aging properties, whereas did not change the absorption spectrum of the main coupler development.

In this paper N,N'-Bis-(2-pyridine)-3,4,9,10-perylene tetracarboxylic diimide is synthesized, purified and crystallized, then element analysis, IR (C=O in ringed diimide shows the double peaks at 1708.8 cm

The UV-Vis absorption spectrum (maximum absorption wavelength at 526.00 nm) and fluorescent emission spectrum of α-crystal in a solution (maximum emission wavelength at 538.0 nm) are characterized by symmetry as a mirror image. The UV-Vis absorption spectrum in a film between 450 and 570 nm can indicate that α-crystal has stronger absorption peaks than β-crystal. It is obvious that the diffraction peak intensity of α-crystal are respectively at 25.5°, 26.3° in the X-ray diffraction pattern. The functional separate photoreceptors of α、β-crystal as charge generation material are made and time (

(M=Cr,Mn,Fe,Co,Ni,Cu) were prepared with impregnation method. The photocatalytic activity was investigated with acetic acid as a photocatalytic degradation modal reactant. The results show that the photocatalytic activity of TiO

was improved after being doped by transition metal oxide and there exists an optimal supported value at which the degree of improved photocatalytic activity depends on formation enthalpy of corresponding oxide. Volcano profile relationship was found between the photocatalytic activity and the ratio of electronic affinity to ionic radius of transition metal ion.

The conventional chemical sensitizations (sulfur-, gold, sulfur-plus-gold and reduction-sensitization) were used to sensitize the AgBr emulsions with about 140 nm of grain size, covered in PTG coating with PVA as a binder, in order to examine the effects on sensitivities of PTG materials. The results showed that the chemical sensitizations were still quite effective for PTG system with hydrophilic PVA to increase sensitivities significantly, but not fog levels.

By fish gelatin or bovine gelatin as dispersion medium, two nano-sized AgBr/I particle emulsions with different morphology and size were prepared. Photosensitivities of two emulsions increased significantly by the addition of formate as positive hole scavenge dopant, showing formate effective sensitization. It was noted that various formate-doping methods resulted in different sensitized functions. Photosensitivity of the emulsion with homogeneous distribution of formate ions in nano-sized emulsion particle was higher than that of near surface distribution of formate ions in the particle, indicating formate-doping site effect. The multi-structural emulsion particles composed of formate doped core and pure silver halide shell demonstrated approximate photosensitivity as homogeneous formate doped emulsion particles. The addition of sulfur or sulfur-plus-gold into fomate doped nano-sized AgBr/I particle emulsion made photosensitivity further increased, which presented a synergetic effect of formate sensitization with conventional sulfur or sulfur-plus-gold sensitization.

A series of poly (aryl ether) dendrimers with bis-(8-hydroxyquinoline) attached to the core, generation 1-3, were synthesized. The steady state photophysical properties of these compounds in various solvents were studied. The results indicated that the fluorescent quantum yield increased with the generation increases. The dendritic structure showed isolating effect on the core. The intramolecular energy transfer from the dendritic structure to the core was observed.

The fluorine-containing monomers 2,2-bis (3-amino-4-hydroxy phenyl) hexafluoropropane (6FHP) and pyromellitic dianhydride (PMDA) were used. It is a first-step preparation of a preimided hydroxy-containing polyimide, followed by the covalent bonding of an active chromophore dispered red 1 (DR1) onto the backbone of the polyimide via the Mitsunobu reaction. The fluorine-containing polyimide was synthesized. Then, Sol-Gel technique was adopted, utilizing 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) as a coupling agent, poly (amide acid), containing chromophore and alkoxysilane monomers, was synthesized. Si (OR)

group was hydrolyzed and condensated. It reacted with Tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) in presence of catalyst, via hybridization and gelation. The hybrid material was obtained with optics transparent, nonlinear optical, high thermal stability. Fluorine-containing polyimides/silica hybrid material was characterized by the methods of FT-IR spectra, Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) measuring apparatus to get their surface structure, morphology, thermal performance.

With [5-mercapto-(1, 3, 4) thiadiazol-2-yl-thio]-acetic acid adopted as the adsorption group and trifluoro-acetic acid 2-( 4-amino-phenyl )-hydrazide as the strengthen groups respectively, a novel colorless DAR (A) coupler was synthesized from N,N’-bis-(2-chloro-5-n-dodecyloxy-carbonyl) phenylmalonamide. The intermediates and the target compound were characterized and confirmed by means of IR, MS,
