Abstract: The cyclicvoltammetric method for measure the reduction half-peak potentials andthe rate constants of chemical reaction following electrochemical reaction are studied. The results have shown that the compounds investigated, 3,4,9,10-perylenetetracarboxylic diimides are reversily reduced to the radical anion at +0.5~+0.7V(vs Ag/AgCl) and thento the disnion at As-8~1.0V(vs Ag/AgCl).As the stereo-resistance of N-substituted group increases, the rate constants are decreased. The process of the electro-chemicalreaction is discussed.
