Abstract: 2-Sulfonic diphenylamine-4-diazonium salt(SDPDS) was prepared from 4-chloronitrobenzene as starting material via four steps with overall yield of about 50%. SDPDS,different from the common diazonium salt,is insoluble in water because of its intra molecular salty structure. The photo-and thermodecomposition of SDPDS were also investigated. The results show that SDPDS exhibit excellent thermostability as well as high photosensitive behaviors.
