Abstract: In this paper, the formation of exciplex between 2,6-dimethyl naphthalene dicar-boxylate and naphthalene was demonstrated by time-resolved fluorescence spectra. The elementary rate constants of the photophysieal processes were calculated by fluorescence spectra measured at steady-state condition. The relationship between the structure and the rate constant has been discussed.
