Abstract: A flow apparatus and a numerical model were used to measure the rate constants of thecoupling reaction of dispersed couplers dissolved in DBP, DEIJA and TBP with 4 QDIs respectively in gelatin layer. The results show that the dispersion solvents have great effect oncoupling kinetics. In general, coupling rate constants decreases in the order KDBP>KTBP> KDEDA, when they were used as a dispersion solvent respectively. The results also show that when dispersion solvent is different, the activity order of 4 QDIs is different. The discussion was given in the view of reaction in organized medium.
