Abstract: The shape of the phycobilisome of polysiphonia urceolata was studied by using scanningtunnelling microscope (STM ). The STM image indicates that the phycobilisome is hemi-ellipsoidal and it’s size is about 50nm. The results also show that the sequences of phyco-biliproteins are observed and the phycobiliproein size is about 8nm.
