Abstract: One synthesis route for metal complexes of directly meso-linked porphyrin dimer in a nearly quantitatively yield was developed. The dimerization was achieved via chemical oxidation. The metal complexes of the dimer exhibit absorption spectra that reveal the two porphyrin rings are in an orthogonal structure; cyclic voltamogramm confirmed the dimers are relatively stable in electrochemical process; strong Coulomb interaction is observed during the electrochemical process.
