PREPARATION AND CHARACTER OF TiO2·SiO2/BEADS

Abstract: The preparation of composite photocatalyst TiO2·SiO2/beads attached to the hollow glass microbeads using Sol?gel technique was investigated. While the photoactivity was evaluated. The results show that mole ratios of TiO2·SiO2/beads have the best value. When mole ratio of composite photocatalyst is 30/70,the best composite photocatalyst produces 2 times active than Degussa P 25 TiO2. Moreover, the effect of the preparation methods and the preparation conditions and the mole ratios and adsorption of TiO2·SiO2/beads and calcination conditions and surface area on composite photocatalyst photoactivity were also studied in this paper.
