Abstract: A symmetrical green-emission organic compound:1,4 bis (4′-N,N-dimethyl styryl)naphthalene(BDASN)with strong green-emission was synthesized and characterized by mass spectrum and 1HNMR spectrum. The results show that the maximum fluorescence wavelength of BDASN solution is red-shifted from 459 nm to 541 nm when the polarity of solvents are increased under the excitation of 378 nm.It is interesting that the green-emission band about 530 nm in DMF is quenched, meanwhile, the blue emission band about 450 nm appeared at the present of β-CD(β-cyclodextrim),suggesting that labled compound has sensitve to the micro circumstance and has potential application for fluorescence probe.
