Synthesis and Optical Properties of Novel Eu(Ⅲ) Complex Containing Naphthalimide Unit

Abstract

Abstract: A novel complex Eu(DBM)₃(PNI-phen) was synthesized via incorporation of naphthalimide unit to the neutral ligand of 1,10-phenanthroline,which enables the europium complex to exhibiting the characteristic luminescence of naphthalimide unit and Eu³⁺ ion via selective excitation.The pathway of energy transfer and the luminescence mechanism were studied by the fluorescence and excitation spectra.
