Abstract: WO3 doped SiO2/TiO2 nano-particles were synthesized by sol-hydrothermal method and characterized by X-ray diffraction,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),Zeta potential,BET,and transmission electron microscopy. The photocatalytic activity was evaluated by photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange under UV light irradiation. The modified photocatalyst shows high photocatalytic activity. It was found that WO3 and SiO2 increased the stability of anatase TiO2,and inhibited the grain aggregation and growth.
