Abstract: Rubrene inverse opal was fabricated via a silica colloidal crystal template and surface-wetting technique. Moreover, the photonic band gap of the rubrene inverse opal was successfully measured, which corresponds with the theoretical calculations. This method provides a platform for further fabrication of inverse opal structure with other organic semiconductor materials.Furthermore, the unique structural features of three-dimensional ordered macroporous may find novel optical and electrical properties.
