Abstract: The protoration constants of the color developer CD-4 are measured by means of spectrometry in this paper. Those values are 107.2dm3 mol-1;102.7dm3mol-1 respectively which is very closed to obtained results by cyclic voltammetry method. The molar extinction coefficient of the semiquinone of CD-4 is measured in the HAc-NaAc medium by measuring intermediate molar extinction coefficient melhod. The value is (9.62+0.22) 103dm3 mol-1 cm-1 (298K).
