Abstract: This article aims to explore the application value of 3D LAVA-FLEX sequence in enhanced MR scanning of laryngeal carcinoma and hypopharyngeal carcinoma. There were 40 patients who were clinically diagnosed laryngeal cancer and hypopharyngeal cancer. They were performed enhanced MRI scans to analyze and evaluate the images obtained by the two methods, using 2D IDEAL T1WI sequence and 3D LAVA-FLEX sequence, respectively. The results showed that all patients completed IDEAL T1WI and 3D LAVA-FLEX sequence enhancement examination. 3D LAVA-FLEX was better than IDEAL T1WI sequence in terms of motion artifact and flow artifact control (P<0.001). The difference of tumor display effect between 3D LAVA-FLEX and IDEAL T1WI is not statistically significant. The two sequences both have good display effects. It is concluded that the 3D LAVA-FLEX sequence can provide satisfactory image quality and less scanning time for enhanced scanning of head and neck tumors.
