Abstract: A new photo-galvano-voltaic cell, which consisted of TPP-SnO2 photovoltaic cell on one side and a erythrosin-SnO2 photogalvanic cell on the other side of a transparent conducting glass, was reported. It was found that as high as 1350 mV photopotential was produced by this dual-photon absorption system under irradiation and this cell might offer a new approach to make cyclic water photodecomposition.
