Abstract: A chlorophyll-a/polyvinyl alcohol sandwich cell has been studied in this work. The ch-lorophyll-a electrode was prepared by electro-depositing method. The polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) membranes were modified by doping of hydroquinone (H2Q), ascorbic acid(Asc) and Sodium solt of EDTA respectively. The photoelectric properties of the sandwich cell were measured Carefully and the results show that the introduction of H2Q or Asc to PVA membrane increase the photocurrent of chl-a cell.
