A STUDY ON THE PHOTOPHYSICAL BEHAYVIOR OF 2-PYRAZOLINE COMPOUNDS-COMPETITION OF TWO MECHANISMS IN THE PROCESS OF PHOTOINDUCED INTRAMOLECULAR CHARGE TRANSFER

Abstract: In this work,a new kind of 1,3,5-triaryl-2-pyrazoline compound has been synthesized.Their photophysical behavior including solvent polarity and acid-base effects onthe fluorescence spectra was investigated. Results indicated that this compound not onlypossesses strong solvatochromic effect but also can be used as an acid-base indicator in non-aqueous solvents.Results also proved in further that a competition of two mechanisms of intramolecular charge transfer was existed indeed in the excited molecule of substitutedtriaryl pyrazolines.
