Abstract: The transparent titanium dioxide TiO2 film of high surface area has been prepared.Atomic force microscope analysis confirms that the film is composed of interconnected particles and pores. Sensitization of TiO2 microporous electrode with porphyrin molecules extendsthe absorbance of the electrode into visible region. The photoelectric conversion study showsthat the dye-sensitized TiO2 microporous electrode is attractive in photoelectrochemical conversion of solar energy in the future.
