Abstract: Two kinds of binary compounds containing pyrene and aniline moiety were designed and synthesized, and the influence of solvent polarity and viscosity on the formation of their intramolecular exciplex was investigated. Furthermore, the photophysical behavior in CTAB micelle reveals the potential of using them to probe the viscosity and polarity of microenviroments.
