Abstract: The aggregation properties of anionic gemini surfactants in the aqueous solution were studied by fluorescence method. The values of the critical micelle concentration(CMC),aggregation number of micelle(Nagg) and the polarity of the probe environment of the anionic gemini surfactants were determined. The values of CMC are smaller than those of the corresponding conventional surfactants. When the alkyl chain length of the anionic gemini surfactants increased, the values of CMC decreased. And the values of Nagg increased and the polarity of the probe environment decreased. It was also found that the Nagg increased with the increasing of the concentration of NaCl.
