By using of the double-jet apparatus controlled by a microcomputer, different amounts of iodide salt and a certain amount of formate were doped in AgBr crystal in different periods of the crystal growth to prepare two series of cubic AgBrI emulsion: a series of formate-undoped AgBrI grain emulsions which contained 0,2×10-2,3×10-2,4×10-2,5×10-2 I- mol/Ag mol iodide ions respectively, another series of formate-doped AgBrI grain emulsions doped with 1×10-4 mol/Ag mol formate, which contained the same quantities of iodide ions as former, respectively. The sensitometric results from these emuls ions showed that the sensitivities of formate-doped AgBr/I emulsions, relative to those of the corresponding formate-undoped on esas the controlled, regardless of whether they were sensitized chemically and spectrally, were remarkably increased, while in a certain amount of iodid-edopin grange (0-4×10-2 I- mol/Ag mol),fog level of those were not remarkably improved.

A new bipolar phosphorescence host material carbostyril derivative 3-(4-(9H-carbazol-9-yl)phenyl)-1-methyl-4-phenylquinolin-2(1H)-one was designed and synthesized.Through theoretical calculations we found that the HOMO and LUMO obitals respectively localed in carbazole group and carbostyril group, that imply this compound is a good bipolar material. The compound phosphorescence emission is 515 nm(2.41 eV),meet the basic requirement of green phosphorescence host material(>2.40 eV).TGA and DSC results show the compound has high thermal stabilities, the decomposition temperature and glass transition temperature are 312 ℃ and 105 ℃ respectively. The results show that the new compound is a potential green phosphorescence host material with bipolar feature.

An experimental setup of laser trapping combined with in situ measurements of steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopies was developed for analyzing photophysical properties of a single submicrometer particle in solution.Simultaneous laser trapping and in situ steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence measurements of dye-doped polystyrene beads were demonstrated. This study provides a new strategy for investigating photophysical properties of a single submicrometer particle.

The aggregation properties of anionic gemini surfactants in the aqueous solution were studied by fluorescence method. The values of the critical micelle concentration(CMC),aggregation number of micelle(Nagg) and the polarity of the probe environment of the anionic gemini surfactants were determined. The values of CMC are smaller than those of the corresponding conventional surfactants. When the alkyl chain length of the anionic gemini surfactants increased, the values of CMC decreased. And the values of Nagg increased and the polarity of the probe environment decreased. It was also found that the Nagg increased with the increasing of the concentration of NaCl.

The structures and electronic spectra of terpyridine platinum(Ⅱ) complexes were studied systematically with density functional theory. The results of selected PBE/LanL2DZ(6-311+G(d))—BMK/LanL2DZ(6-31+G(d)) method are in good agreement with experimental values: the average inaccuracy of wavelength calculation in absorption and emission spectra are 14 nm and 17 nm,respectively. The spectra peaks were all assigned via analyzing the frontier molecular orbits. The calculation results reveal that different electron donating or withdrawing groups influence spectral peaks’ positions and transition types crucially, and provide strong theoretical understandings for existing experimental results.

In this work,a dual-templating method using polystyrene submicrospheres(PS) as core template and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB) as co-template(porogen) was developed to fabricate hollow silica submicrospheres with radially oriented mesochannels. The fabricated hollow submicrospheres were nearly monodisperse and well separated. The amounts of CTAB and tetraethoxysilane(TEOS) and the kinds of catalyst were shown to have large effects on the morphology, shell thickness and purity of the fabricated hollow submicrospheres. When the amount of CTAB was 0.077 g,severe coalescence of hollow submicrospheres occurred. When the amount of CTAB increased to 0.110 g,the obtained hollow submicrospheres were well dispersed. When the amount of CTAB further increased to 0.143 g,however, impurity of silica nanoparticles increased. When the amount of TEOS was 0.175 mL,the morphology of hollow submicrospheres was less spherical and the shell thickness was not uniform. When the amount of TEOS was 0.250 mL,hollow submicrospheres of good integrity and uniform shell thickness were obtained. When the amount of TEOS further increased to 0.325 mL,the shell thickness of hollow submicrospheres increased significantly and a small amount of silica nanoparticles appeared simultaneously as impurity. The morphology of hollow submicrospheres was also largely affected by the kinds of catalyst. When the amount of NaOH(concentration: 1 mol/L) was 0.05-0.10 mL,spherical aggregates of small silica nanoparticles formed. With increase of the NaOH amount to 0.10-0.20 mL,the small silica nanoparticles gradually fused together and the surface of spherical aggregate became smooth. When the NaOH amount further increased to 0.20-0.30 mL,smaller silica nanoparticles appeared simultaneously as impurity. On the basis of our experimental results and other reports,a tentative mechanism was proposed for the formation of silica hollow submicrospheres with radially oriented mesochannels.

A new bipolar host material C1PBD,constituted by carbazole and oxadiazole groups, has been designed, synthesized and characterized. The optical and electrochemical properties of C1PBD prove this new bipolar host could be used as the blue fluorescence host. The OLED based on C1PBD and TBPe exhibited a low turn-on voltage(3.2 V with a brightness of 1 cd·m-2),a high efficiency(2.26 cd/A for the max current efficiency),and a stable blue emission with a CIE coordinate of(0.14,0.14).
