Abstract: Isinglass is a kind of gelatin made from fish swim bladder and can be used in many fields,which introduces the new study of isinglass. A few fish gelatin samples were prepared by enzymatic method. SDS-PAGE method indicates the content of α₁ conformations of isinglass, which was made from swim bladder. The capacity is above 50%, which is much higher than that of bone processed. Concentration of α₁ gelatin is much higher than the international IAG gelatins. In view of the decisive effect on gel strength of gelatin.This discovery has an important significance for expanding the applications of isinglass.
