Abstract: By laser irradiation(λ=337 nm) and argarose gel electrophoresis,DNA photosensitization damage induced by 2-methyl-1,4-naphthoninone(MQ) was studied in this paper. Both samples saturated with N2 and O2 can be damaged markedly, this damage was prominently related to the concentration ratio of DNA/MQ,the photon dosage and DNA form.

Key words: 2-methyl-1,4-naphthoninone(MQ), photosensitization damage, argarose gel electrophoresis
