Abstract: Bimatallic Ag/Pt nanoparticles were prepared based on Ag nanoparticle-mediated replacement and deposition reactions. The morphology, size, and structure of the bimetallic nanoparticles were characterized by transmission electron microscopy;it was found that these nanoparticles are bearing hollow interiors. The UV-Vis absorption spectra show the characteristic of single plasmon resonance absorption band and the peak initially red shift and then blue shift with increasing the molar ratio of H2PtCl6 to AgNO3 in the reacting solution.Surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy results show that these nanoparticles remain SERS active when pyridine was used as adsorbate probe.
