Abstract: Aim at existing measurement problems of biochemical oxygen demand (BOD),this paper presents a new detection method of waster-water based on hyperspectral imaging technique. The method provides image and spectral information at the same time by the real-time hyperspectral imaging of appointed water area,so it can achieve for BOD qualitative, quantitative and location analysis with appropriate identification method. It is a rapid and simple detection method, which provides a new approach to real-time detection of BOD.

Key words: hyperspectral imaging spectrum, biochemical oxygen demand(BOD), waster-water
