Abstract: The critical micelle concentration, micelle aggregation number, micelle micropolarity and micelle microviscosity of sodium alkylbenzenesulfonates with the interfering groups have been determined by steady-state fluorescence and electron spin resonance. When the number of the interfering groups increases, the cmc,Nagg and the micelle microviscosity decrease, the micelle micropolarity increases.

Key words: alkylbenzenesulfonate, aggregation, interfering group, fluorescence, electron spin resonance
