Abstract:

2,5-Bis(4-dimethylaminostyryl)pyrazinewith D-π-A-π-D symmetric structure is prepared and its two-photon-induced fluorescence is investigated using femto-second laser pulses. Strong two-photon induced fluorescence is detected in DMSO solution, and the largest two-photon absorption cross-section (σ =212 GM)is obtained at 820 nm.The quadratic dependence of the fluorescence on the excitation laser intensity confirms the two-photon process.
