Abstract: The Photocatalytic cleavage of H2S into H2 was studied in a continuous flow systemand alkaline aqueous solution under the illumination of Xe-lamp.CdS,V2O5/TiO2 andV2O5/Al2O3 were used as catalysts. The hydrogen amount was measured as a functionof the amount of NaOH in the aqueous solution and the irradiation time. The reactionmechanism of the photocatalytic decomposition of hydrogen sulfide was discussed.Theresults show that this continuous flow method is feasible and more near the practicalsituation in decomposition of hydrogen sulfide.
