Value of Two-dimensional Ultrasound Speckle Tracking Imaging in Evaluating Left Ventricular Function in Elderly Patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction

Abstract: Acute myocardial infarction is a clinically critical and severe disease that can cause cardiac dysfunction. In order to study the application value of two-dimensional ultrasound speckle tracking imaging in evaluating left ventricular cardiac function in elderly patients with acute myocardial infarction, we selected 100 elderly patients with acute myocardial infarction who treated in our hospital from October 2017 to October 2019. All patients were divided into anterior myocardial infarction group and inferior myocardial infarction group. Conventional ultrasound and two-dimensional ultrasound speckle tracking imaging were performed in both groups. The results and left ventricular function were compared between the two groups. The results showed that compared with the patients with inferior myocardial infarction, the values of left ventricular end diastolic diameter (LVDD) and left ventricular end-systolic diameter (LVDS) in the anterior myocardial infarction group were significantly increased and the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) values were significantly decreased; the basal, papillary muscle levels, anterior intervals of the apex, and peak strain of the anterior wall circumference significantly reduced; peak circumferential strain peaks at the basal and apical side walls increased significantly; peak strains at the basal and papillary muscles at the posterior and lower walls significantly increased; the strain peak at papillary muscle levels and posterior interval circumference of the apical portion significantly reduced. In conclusion, Two-dimensional ultrasound spot tracking imaging technology is non-invasive and accurate in assessing left ventricular function in elderly patients with acute myocardial infarction. It has important clinical value.
