Abstract: The application of shear wave elastography (SWE) and superb microvascular imaging (SMI) on diagnosis of benign breast lesions and malignant tumor was studied. 128 breast masses patients were chosen and assigned to benign group and malignant group according to pathological examination or aspiration biopsy results. SWE and SMI were performed. Results showed that elasticity maximum of normal tissue (Emax2) between groups showed no significant difference (P>0.05); Elasticity maximum of malignant masses (Emax1) and Eratio (Emax1/Emax2) values in malignant group were significantly higher than those of benign group (P<0.05). Diagnosis sensitivity, accuracy and area under the curve based on combined examination was significantly higher than that of single examination (P<0.05). It was found that SWE combined with SMI could increase the diagnosis sensitivity and accuracy of breast tumor.
