PHOTO-CROSSLINKING REACTION OF 4-IODOTERPHENYL WITH AROMATIC COMPOUNDS--A CONVENIENT ROUTE TO FLUORESCENT POLYARYL COMPOUNDS

Abstract: The photo-orosslinking reactions of 4-iodoterphenyl with several aromatic compounds have been described. 5 polyaryl compounds were synthesized meanwhile. Their structures were confirmed by IR, NMR, MS, and elemental analysis. Their UV spectrum, FL spectrum have been studied. The reaction mechanism has been postulated.
