Abstract: The properties of the excitedstate asymmetric pentaazadentate macrocyclic Cadmium and Indium complexes and the stability under the visible light are studied. The results show that the energies of the lowest excited triplet state of them are about 120 kJ/mol, the quantum yields of them for generating singlet oxygen are in the range of 0.6-0.9, the first-order molecular hypersusceptibility are about 10-28 esu. Under the visible light, complex is stable, while complex has a less stability.
