Abstract: It was fornd that the photographic film could be sensitized by a microwave irradiation. The film sensitivity could be enhanced greatly after a short time microwave irradiation.Unlike film heated, its sensitivity did not decrease after a long time microwave irradiation. When the S/Au ratio was raised, the film sensitivity was improved more. The reason is that the center of sensitivity is relevant to [Ag2S·Ag]+.In addition,The effect of microwave on the film sensitivity could maintain only a few hours after the microwave irradiation.
