Photocatalytic Activity of HCa2Nb3O10/Pt Doped with Cr3+and Mo6+

Abstract: Photocatalysts HCa2Nb3O10 and HCa2Nb3O10 doped with Cr3+ and Mo6+ were prepared by solid-state reaction followed by an ion-exchange reaction.The samples were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction,UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectrum and scan electron microscope.The photocatalytic activities of HCa2Nb3O10 and HCa2Nb3O10 doped with Cr3+ and Mo6+ were evaluated by photocatalytic water-splitting for hydrogen production with methanol as electron donor and Pt as promoter catalyst under UV irradiation with wavelength more than 290 nm.The difference of photocatalytic activity among them was also discussed.
