Using Supramolecular Interaction to Improve the Water Solubility of Hypocrellin B:Synthesis of Adamantane-Modified HB and the Photodynamic Activity Study of Its Polymeric β-CD Inclusion System

Abstract: An adamantane-modified hypocrellin B was designed and synthesized, and was dissolved in aqueous solutions by way of the supramolecular inclusion interaction between the adamantane group and β-cyclodextrin polymer. ESR technique was applied to study the photodynamic activities of the aqueous solution of the adamantane-modified hypocrellin B and β-cyclodextrin polymer.
