Abstract: Novel photopolymers for holographic storage were investigated by combining acrylate monomers as recording media and liquid epoxy resins plus an amine harder as binder.A series of samples were prepared using a newly synthesized dye DEAMC as sensitizer and their holographic properties, such as diffraction efficiency, sensitivity, and refractive index modulation were studied by two 457 nm laser beams as record beams and a 632.8 nm laser as probe beam. The results indicated that samples’ holographic properties were affected significantly by component and thickness of samples.Measurements of image quality through the samples were carried out,and the loss of signal-to-noise ratio(LSNR) as low as 0.4 dB was obtained. This indicates that these materials would be promising for high-density holographic storage.
